Caught the train up to town this a.m.
Waiting on the platform and I had a nice chat with a lovely Belgian gel in the country to learn English.
She has been here 9 months and flying out tomorrow.
asked her how she liked NZ and she said " boiled and with chips".
nah just kidding.
hehehehehehe.
Went and paid the bill for my washing machine.
Sam was in there being led away by his carer.
?????
For absolutely the first time ever I asked the girl behind the counter if they had gold card discounts and she knocked $25 bux off!
And I got a smile.
Howzatt.
Nice walk down Lincoln Rd to cbd and went into the Library where mayhem reigned with zillions of tots on school holidays.
here there and everywhere.
Over to the hospice shop where I scored a dvd of the pilot and the first two episodes of Petticoat Junction.
???
Then to the Regent Book Shop where I got a Kornbluth and Pohl sci fi novel I traded for Cannery Row.
Then onwards and upward to the Family Store where I missed the soundtrack to Deliverance { dang} but got a case damaged 2cd Woody Guthrie set with clean cd's and a best of Peter Paul & Mary.
Last but not least the Warehouse where they have an excellent selection at the moment of cheap compilations of 50's jukebox hits and other stuff. I got a best of Mott The Hoople for not much and a Gene Vincent comp for $1.97.
phew.
That was one big box of goodies.
completely blew the fun budget for a couple of weeks.
Got home and turned on Facebook where Hornets and Tomcats had posted a very large album of choice pix.
Whats going on!
roll with the flow baby. dont question nuthin.
Sweet Jane grooving out of the speakers right NOW!
engine engine no9 coming down the railway line...
